Mumbai’s first Food Lovers’ Grand Food and Wine Showcase was held at Sofitel Mumbai BKC to the delight of the city’s gourmets


The Food Lovers’ Grand Food and Wine Showcase, held at the Sofitel Mumbai BKC was a spectacular nine-course celebration of food and wine. Nine of the city’s most talented chefs from Mumbai’s finest restaurants showcased fine dining, luxury gastronomy and a spectacular celebration of exotic food and wines.
The event, a first-of-its-kind in the city, had 80 guests, including top hospitality professionals and gourmet aficionados in attendance. The participating chefs included Chef Vinay Baluni representing Rivea, Taj Santacruz Mumbai; Chef David representing Ming Yang, Taj Lands End Mumbai; Chef Shadab Ahmed Qureshi representing Jyran, Sofitel Mumbai BKC; Chef Toshiyuki Okabe representing JW Café, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar; Chef Amninder Sandhu representing Masala Bay, Taj Lands End Mumbai; Chef Sudarshan Sawant representing China INC., Taj Santacruz Mumbai; Chef Roberto Zorzoli representing Romano’s, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar; Chef Manav Koul representing Artisan, Sofitel Mumbai BKC; and Chef Dhwani Agarwal representing Masala Library by Jiggs Kalra.

The evening also had live music. Each chef introduced his respective creations. With roots in nine different cuisines, each dish was a culinary triumph, paired with a handpicked international wine, carefully chosen to make the flavours sing.
